Burnt Hills, New York, April 10, 2022 – The Charlton School has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2022 honor by the Times Union. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”
We are delighted to be included this year as a Top Workplace and want to thank the Times Union and Energage for this recognition. We have always cared about each other as individuals at The Charlton School. We work hard to hire the right people and provide them with the resources they need so they can bring their best selves to work every day. Equally important, is the ongoing work of cultivating an environment where we can all hold one another accountable. It’s a privilege to be able to do this critical work in creating a therapeutic learning community for young women to heal and grow. We are empowering future leaders of society here at The Charlton School, and I truly believe that.

About The Charlton School
The Charlton School is a 501c3 residential treatment center and NYS approved high school for young women experiencing mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, self-injurious behavior, among others. Founded in 1895 as a home for youth experiencing homelessness, Charlton has grown and evolved to support young women and their families throughout NYS and the Northeast region with an individualized approach in a nature-based environment.
Charlton collaborates with families to create a therapeutic learning community where a foundation, based on relationships, drives creativity and self-discovery through intensive individual approaches. Charlton provides students with smaller class sizes to support their academic progress, as well as multiple forms of therapy to aid with the improvement of their mental health. Their residential and day students are supported with collaborative treatment plans that include Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, Family Therapy, Social Emotional Learning, among others on a scenic 275 acre campus located in southern Saratoga County.
The entire treatment and educational teams remain committed to the integrity of their 360 degree approach to students and their families and its proven success. For the last two years, 100% of eligible seniors earned high school diplomas from their school districts. Find out more about The Charlton School on this website or linktr.ee/charltonschool
